Effective tips for bridal skincare By Dermatologist Dr Kavitha

The wedding season is on…. Every girl dreams to appear like a queen of the fairy tale on this day. But tired and damaged skin can ruin your dream in a second. I have received lots of quarries from so many of the bride-to-be regarding the tips of bridal skincare. So Here in this Blog, I’ll tell you the seven most effective tips for bridal skincare Treatment  for a fairytale-like glow on your wedding day.

Before heading into the tips I must say that no tips can do magic in one day. You have to plan your skin care treatment before 1 year back or at least 6 months earlier to your wedding.

Now let’s come to the tips.

Tip 1: Regular body massage

Massaging your body with treatment oil offers nourishment to your skin. Even it’s also fighting back against any kind of regular skin problems like itching, acne, etc. Besides, it helps in tightening the skin and so improves the glow. Regular body and face massage takes at least a month to start its effects on skin and improves your skin with ongoing time. Start your pre-bridal body massage session 10 to 12 months earlier.

Tip 2:  Have monthly facials

Facials are now a regular monthly routine for most of the girls. Yet, due to work pressure or other reason sometimes it gets postponed. Try not to skip any of the monthly facial sessions 6 months before your wedding.  The facial is the best option for deep cleansing and hydrated skin. Yet, always stick to skin tested product. If you already do facials then stick to the brands you use. Trying a new brand, even suggested by your salon professional might not be a good idea at this stage.

Tip 3: Sleep-well

Lack of sleep causes a dark-circle. An adequate amount of sleep makes your nervous system stress free and make your skin refreshed. Try to go to bed and wake up at fixed times. Get at least 8 hours of disturbance-free sleep every day for at least 6 months before marriage. To feel relax you can keep a piece of handkerchief soaked with one drop of essential oil of your choice.

Tip 4: Eat Healthy and stay healthy

Here don’t resemble ‘healthy diet’ and ‘less eating.’ I have seen most of the girls reduce eating before their marriage. This is wrong. Dieting does not mean reduce eating, rather eat the quantity you can but eat healthy and timely.

Avoid junk foods and increase the intake of fruits, green vegetables, and vitamin-rich foods. Reduce the level of sugar and carbs from your diet.

However, I would not suggest any supplements. Natural nutrition is always the best choice. Another mistake lot of girls do is skipping breakfast. Don’t even think of that. Have breakfast before 9 am. Even heavy breakfast is allowed, in such case you can have a light lunch. And yes, drink plenty of water, drink coconut water, fruit juices, and lemon water several times a day.

Apart from healthy eating opt for regular yoga for at least 10 minutes a day. If this becomes impossible for your tight schedule at least try to walk for 20 minutes a day.

Tip 5: Double cleanse and detox your skin

Starting from two months before the grand date, start naturally double cleanse your skin at night. However, stick to gentle cleansers only. In the case of foam cleansers, ensure they are not harsh to your skin. Start exfoliating your skin with a mild scrubber.

Do thorough cleansing of your skin after two returned home from outside. You can book pre-bridal packages at any trusted salon or dermatological center. But keep in mind don’t try any new product and hush chemical containing product. Ensure that your booked professionals use a quality product.

In the end, try to stay relaxed before your wedding day.

So, these were the 5 tips you can start following at home and it has proven the most effective one.
